興味深いですが、バイアスが多すぎて結論づけるにはさらなる検討が必要。 TMF提供してる認知症患者に常食水分トロミなしを提供したら摂取量増えますかと言われたら増えません。 逆に嚥下機能ギリギリの食形態を提供すれば3ヶ月間の誤嚥性肺炎発症率は皆一緒ということかも?

とろみと栄養の関係😀難しい問題ですね。 とろみつけると明らかに水分摂取量が減る方は実際います。 嚥下造影検査で誤嚥していても、咳嗽力とか体力的なものを総合的に判断してトロミを外すこともたまにあります😃 検査結果が全てではないですね👍
誤嚥は防げるけど摂取量が低下してしまう そういう視点すごく大事です だから「誤嚥を絶対に防ぎたい」専門職とは話が合わない
個人的には衝撃的な事実でした。 とろみがあれば大丈夫だと過信しないことが大事ですね。

I've always been skeptical to claims that these do anything (and especially since for many patients with severe dementia, eating is one of the few remaining pleasures)
